Allen Gettle

Allen W. "Al" Gettle, 87, of Lebanon, died on Thursday, May 01, 2014 at his home.
He was born on Friday, March 25, 1927 to Samuel Y. Gettle and Carrie M. Gettle nee Reedy in Lebanon.  He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and worked as a warehouse foreman at Lebanon Building Supply (APR) for 35 years.  Al was a veteran of the Army in World War II.  He enjoyed flea markets, Penn State, Phillies and the military.
Surviving are wife of 66 years Florence M. Gettle nee Moyer, Lebanon; sons Allen spouse of Connie Gettle, Dillsburg, Troy spouse of Sharon Gettle, Lebanon, Wade Sr., spouse of Judy Gettle, Schaefferstown; grandchildren Corey Gettle, Taryn spouse of Scott Longstreth, Karrie Kelley, Travis Gettle, Stephanie spouse of Paul Frantz, Wade Gettle, Jr., Tim spouse of Samantha Gettle, Tamara spouse of Phil Hostetter; great grandchildren Micah Kelley, Mackenzie Gettle, Scout Frantz, Hope Frantz, Paulie Frantz; several brothers and sisters.  He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; 1 great grandson.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, May 06, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 06, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
