Alverta H. Smith, 91, of Myerstown, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Manor Care.
She was born on Tuesday, January 03, 1922 to the late Charles Netzley and Fannie Netzley nee Sipling in Lancaster. She was a member of St. Paul''s United Church of Christ- Schaefferstown. She was part owner of Smith Dutch Restaurant and worked in the Elco cafeteria. She was a member of Farm Women Group 2 and Neptune Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary. Alverta enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Surviving are sons Stanley spouse of Geraldine Smith, Myerstown, Charles Smith, Lebanon; daughter-in-law Hilda Smith; grandchildren Stanley Smith, Jr., Rodney Smith, Keith Smith; great grandchildren Brittany Smith, Taylor Smith, Ella Smith; great great grandchild Kai Stoltzfus; sister Sally Hibshman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband John Smith Jr., son Robert Smith; grandchild Steven Smith; 6 brothers and sisters.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
