Arlene E. Taylor Troutman, 87, of Annville, died on Saturday, December 08, 2012 at Kindred Place.
She was born on Monday, November 02, 1925 to the late Harry W. Boltz and Mary A. Boltz nee Meck in Lebanon. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School and Ursinus College and began her teaching career at the Presbyterian Indian Mission School (Escuela) in Tucson AZ. She was also an elementary teacher at the Jackson Building of the Eastern Lebanon County School District. Arlene was an active member of St. Mark''s UCC, Lebanon where she was a deacon, elder, teacher and Sunday school superintendent (retired 1/22/1995). She was the president of the Lebanon County Chapter of the PA Association of School Retirees, and president of Lebanon County Chapter #3612 of the American Association of Retired Persons, member of Nu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society and member of Lebanon County Educational Honor Society. Arlene served several terms as president of Church Women United in Lebanon City and County, president of UCC Homes Auxiliary and secretary-treasurer of the Parents and Friends Association of Selinsgrove Center. She was a member of Board of Directors of Quest, member of Senior Council of Lebanon County, volunteer for Lancaster-Lebanon Literacy Council, chairman of the Nominations Committee of the Lebanon Association of Penn Central Conference, UCC. Arlene was a member of the Lebanon County Historical Society, life member of the Senior Center of Lebanon Valley and member of Friendship Fire Company.
Surviving are husband Curtis C. Troutman, Annville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son David B. Taylor; brothers Jay H. Boltz, Theodore W. Boltz.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Mark''s United Church of Christ, 426 N. 8th Street, Lebanon.
Memorial services will be on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the church.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00PM.
