Barbara A. Buss

Barbara A. Buss, 74, passed away on December 3, 2024, in Hershey, PA after a years-long battle against the disease of Parkinson's. Barbara Buss was born on June 1, 1950 in Great Barrington, MA, to Peter Skei, Sr. and Helen Skei née Muller. Barbara married Edward Buss, thereby becoming a parent to beloved daughter, Wanda Buss. A self-made woman, Barbara took great pleasure in bringing joy to local communities as the owner of Just Nuts & Candy, at one point having a total of six stores. For the past five years, she lived with her best friend, Jennifer Schaadt, and together they shared the passion of carefully crafting chocolates in the candy room of Barbara's house. She also enjoyed baking, and her flour confections could be found in restaurants as far as the state of Florida. Barbara is survived by brothers Peter Skei and Jeffrey Skei; stepdaughter Wanda Buss; friend and housemate Jennifer Schaadt; nephews PJ (Crystal) Skei and Jason (Melissa) Skei; and three grand-nephews and one grand-niece. Known for her love of animals, Barbara also departs now from her faithful English Cream Golden Retriever, Casper. She is preceded in death by husband Edward Buss, who left Casper behind in the end to keep watch over Barbara in Ed's stead. Services are to be held privately at the convenience of friends and family. Memorial donations can be made in Barbara's name to the Parkinson's Foundation.
