Bernetta B. "Girl" Hower, 76, of Palmyra, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Palmyra Nursing Home as she was
surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Saturday, November 09, 1935 to the late Ira R. Stickler, Sr. and Katie Stickler nee Brubaker in
Lebanon. She worked as a nursing assistant. She loved the Lord. Bernetta loved spending time with her
grandchildren. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and made blankets for her family. She also coached
softball and was a boy scout leader.
Surviving are son Richard E. Hower; daughter Cindy Hower; son Michael S. spouse of Tammy Hower; daughters
Jean Taylor, Joan Hower; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Jeanette Reed, Rosetta Bennethum. She
was preceded in death by husband Earl Hower; 3 brothers; 2 sisters.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 9:00 AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226
Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Committal services will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
