Betty Grimes

Betty J. Grimes, 87, of Lebanon, died on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Cedar Haven.

She was born on Monday, September 15, 1924 to Irvin Snavely and Dora Snavely nee Keath in Lebanon. She worked in the restaurant industry. She was active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church for 50 years and was involved with a community lunch for 15 years. She was a very special, loving, kind mother who was very giving and her great grandchildren were a joy in her life.

Surviving are daughter Cheryle "Sue" spouse of Harold Bowman, Cleona; son Carl J., Jr., spouse of Darlene Grimes, Lebanon; grandchildren Chad Grimes, Travis Grimes, Eric spouse of Rebecca Bowman, Ryan spouse of Amy Bowman, Jessica spouse of David Johnston; great grandchildren Austin Bowman, Tyler Bowman, Harold Bowman, Trinity Bowman, Felicity Bowman, Ethan Bowman, Esme Bowman, Kaylee Johnston; brother Clifford spouse of Kathy Snavely; sister Maryann spouse of Marlion McQuinn. She was preceded in death by husband Carl Grimes Sr; sister Irene Snavely.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Cornwall Cemetery, Cornwall, following the service.
