Carl V. Walters, 78, of Lebanon, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at VA Medical Center.

He was born on Thursday, February 15, 1934 to David F. Walters and Mary Walters nee Boyer in Rexmont. He worked as a carpenter. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict. He was a train enthusiast. Carl was a former chief of safety services for the American Red Cross, shelter manager at Hershey Park Arena during the TMI incident, one of the first instructors for EMT in Lebanon county and a volunteer for Emergency Management Agency. He enjoyed fishing and reading.

Surviving are daughter Kathy L. Price, Lebanon; niece Karen spouse of Edward Fitting; nephew Gary spouse of Betty Jo Koons; great nieces Katie Fiones, Kelsey Fitting; and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Anna Koons.

Viewing will be on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.

Graveside services will follow.

Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
