Charles Cyril Seyfert, 93, of Jonestown, died on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born on Wednesday, June 09, 1920 to the late Charles A. Seyfert and Estella Margaret Seyfert nee Arnold in Lebanon. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He worked as an equipment operator and was a veteran of the Army in World War II. He was a life member and past post commander of the Annville American Legion #559, member of VFW Post #8023, AMVET Post #293 with whom he served on the honor squad and a life member of the Knight's of Columbus. Charles also enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are sons John Seyfert, William Seyfert, Frederick Seyfert, Charles Seyfert, Edwin Seyfert, Ernest Seyfert, Patrick Seyfert, Joseph Seyfert; daughters Kathrine Granata, Christine McConnell; 23 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother Richard Seyfert; sisters Isabelle Hartman, Dorothy Hershock, Marie Wilman. He was preceded in death by wife Christine C. Seyfert nee Eisenhauer; sons Jeff Seyfert, Stephen Seyfert.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
