Curtis C. Troutman, 86, of 38 Annville, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Lebanon Valley Home.
He was born on Wednesday, April 24, 1929 to the late John J. Troutman and Edna Troutman nee Moyer in Lebanon. He was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ and was a veteran of the Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Lebanon Valley College and was an elementary music teacher in the ELCO School District. Curtis was the organist and choir director at St. John's (Host) Church, Bernville; Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg; Altalaha Lutheran Church, Rehrersburg; Trinity Lutheran Church, Gouglersville and Director of Music at St. Mark's UCC, Lebanon where he retired 12/31/1994. He was a Deacon, Elder, Teacher, Sunday School pianist and former chairman of the Christian Education Committee. Curtis was a member and past president and editor of the LebCo PASR newsletter of the Lebanon County Chapter of the PA Association of School Retirees, past member and president and editor of the LebCo Echo, newsletter of the Lebanon County Chapter #3612 of the Association of Retired Persons and District Director for AARP District 21. He was a member and past president of the Lebanon County Educational Honor Society, president of the Parents and Friends Association of Selinsgrove Center, Inc., member of the Board of Directors for Lebanon Community Concerts, President of the Senior Council of Lebanon County and Volunteer for Lancaster-Lebanon Literacy Council and 4th Vice President of UCC Homes Auxiliary. Curtis was secretary and treasurer of the Lebanon Association of Penn Central Conference, UCC, life member of the Senior Center of Lebanon Valley, member of Traveler's Protective Association and member of Friendship Fire Company.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Arlene E. Troutman nee Boltz; step-son David B. Taylor; brothers Arthur J. Troutman, Clarence Troutman; sister Irene Hassler.
Viewing will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Mark's United Church of Christ, 426 N. 8th Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the church.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
