Donald S. Kapp, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was born on January 22, 1920 in Lebanon and was the son of Naomi and Lloyd H. Kapp. He was married for 56 years to the late Francis Short Kapp. He retired from Cornwall Ore Mines in 1957 after 29 years of service. He also worked for the railroads. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific in the Philippine CC Camp. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are son Lloyd Kapp of Lebanon; daughter Sallie wife of Timothy Shreiner of Lititz; grandson Michael Kapp of Cleona whom he raised; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Eileen Pinky Rulavage and brothers Arthur, Frederick, Melvin, LeRoy, Vernal and Harold. Viewing will be on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 10-11AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc. 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be at 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service with military honors.
