Donald S. "449" Lowden, 92, of Lebanon, died on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Spang Crest Manor.
He was born on Wednesday, July 05, 1922 to the late Robert Lowden and Elizabeth Lowden nee Witherspoon in Kecksburg, PA.  He worked as a machinist and retired from Weaver Industries.  Donald was a veteran of the Navy in World War II and earned the Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific 4 Stars, Philippine Liberation 2 Stars and Good Conduct Medal.  He was involved with the American Legion, Navy Club and played in the Salvation Army Band. Donald also enjoyed woodworking. The family would like to thank the staff of Spang Crest Manor for the care they have given their father.
Surviving are sons Scott spouse of Wendy Lowden, Atlanta, GA, Donald E. spouse of Jowanda Lowden, Columbiana, AL; daughter Beth spouse of Jerry Anderson, Melbourne, FL; stepdaughters Debbie Blakeney, Pace, FL, Viola Olsen, Haskell, NJ; grandchildren Tammy Clement, Donald E. Lowden, Jr.; step grandchildren Ryan Blakeney, Joanna Pernick, Jacob Pernick; 6 great grandchildren; sister Connie Briner, Hendersonville, NC; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by wife Grace Lowden  nee Heisey; daughter Darlene Lowden; step daughters Karen Olsen, Kathi Olsen; sisters Ruth Cox, Marion Campbell, Roberta Smith; brothers Robert Lowden, Russell Lowden, Ralph Lowden.
Viewing will be on Monday, December 01, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, December 01, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Iona "Fairview" Cemetery, Lebanon, with full military honors, following the service.
