Dorothy Moyer

Dorothy Mentzer Moyer, 88, of Lebanon, died on Friday, October 07, 2016 at Cedar Haven.
She was born on Monday, September 03, 1928 to the late Harry Mentzer and Amelia Mentzer nee Checket in Lebanon. She was a member of St. Stephens Christian Fellowship Church where she was baptized, married and her children baptized. She was a graduate from Lebanon High School in 1946 and attended Linden Hall. Dorothy was married for 59 years until her husband's passing in 2007. They traveled in the US and Europe, were married in Lebanon and moved to New Jersey until his retirement. They later moved back to Lebanon. She was a member of the Hershey Italian Club, active in the Senior Center and member of the Monthly Lunch Bunch with her high school class. Dorothy enjoyed reading, an active sports fan and supported her son-in-law and grandson's football pursuits. The family would like to thank the Cedar Haven staff and Hospice agency for the excellent service they provided Dorothy.
Surviving are daughter Suzanne M. spouse of Harry Gicking, Broomall, PA; son Robert D. spouse of Terri Moyer, Lexington, KY; grandchildren Jennifer (Gicking) spouse of Keith Cadden, Philadelphia, Chris spouse of Donna Gicking, Philadelphia, Anna Marie (Moyer) spouse of Michael Young, FL, Chris Harry spouse of Ingrid Moyer, FL; 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Lester R. Moyer.
Viewing will be on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Quentin (Bismarck) Cemetery, Quentin, following the service.
