Earl R. "Chink" Hower, 80, of Lebanon, died on Thursday, January 05, 2012 at VA Medical Center.
He was born on Tuesday, June 09, 1931 to the late David P. Hower, Sr. and Helen Hower nee Rhen in Lebanon. He
served the Lord and was a member of Bible Fellowship Church. He was a veteran of the Army in the Korean War.
Earl retired from the VA Hospital and GSH as a nursing assistant. He loved his family and was considered the
mayor of Elmcroft. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and his friday gatherings at Burger King,
McDonalds and KMart. Earl enjoyed people and people enjoyed his company as well.
Surviving are wife of 55 years, Bernetta Hower nee Stickler; son Richard spouse of Lori Hower; daughter Cindy
Hower; sons Michael spouse of Tammy Hower; daughters Joan Hower, Jean Taylor; 11 grandchildren; 4 great
grandchildren; brothers Raymond Hower, Robert Hower, Ernest Hower, James Hower; sister Delores Hassler;
stepbrother Donald Hower. He was preceded in death by brother David P. Hower, Jr.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Bible Fellowship Church, 1635 Mill Road,
Lebanon.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
