She was born on Wednesday, January 06, 1932 to the late Benjamin Gerhart and Ada Gerhart nee Hollinger in Lebanon. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother who enjoyed being with her friends and family. Earla enjoyed baking and crocheting.
Surviving are children David I. spouse of Donna Strause, Carol A. spouse of Forrest Ludwig, Maryann spouse of Bradley Kreider, Dorothy spouse of Brian Mathias, Robert I. spouse of Doreen Strause, Christine J. spouse of William Hagerty, Donna spouse of Donald Young; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters Alverta Keener, Christine Bashore. She was preceded in death by husband Irvin R. Strause; 8 siblings.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, June 07, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 07, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stouchsburg, following the service.
