Edith Pennebaker Patrick, 95, Cornwall, died on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Cornwall Manor.
She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Daisy Shreffler Pennebaker. She was born on November 12, 1920 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., PA and a graduate of the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1942.Mrs. Patrick joined the United States Air Force Nurse Corps in 1953. She was a veteran of 23-1/2 years and served foreign service in Alaska, Bermuda and Germany. She held the rank of Lieutentant Colonel and retired in 1975. She was a member of the Retired Officers Assoc., The Society of Retired Air Force Nurses and a Charter member of the Women's Memorial Foundation at Arlington National Cemetery. She was a member and Historian of the Tulpehocken Chapter of the Daughter's of the American Colonist. Mrs. Patrick was a member of Zion United Methodist Church of Iona.
She is survived by 12 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband George L. Patrick; 8 brothers; 1 sister; 9 nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
