Edna A. "Granny" Hammer, 95, of Craley, went to her Eternal Home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday,
June 10, 2012 at her home.
She was born on Tuesday, April 17, 1917 to the late Grant K. Ruhl and Amy S. Ruhl nee Brubaker in Lebanon. She
was an active member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked in the garment manufacturing industry.
She was active in Historic Schaefferstown and Farm Women #9. Granny was also an avid quilter for the Farm
Women and crafted numerous baby blankets donated to Lancaster Clinics. She also enjoyed baking pies, angel food
cakes, collecting shoe buttoners, cooking for large family occasions, making opera fudge, canning and freezing and
sewing and embroidering.

preceded in death by husband Myles A. Hammer; daughter Brenda Hehnly; great grandchild Emily Hammer.
Viewing will be on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226
Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Schaefferstown Cemetery, Schaefferstown, following the service.
