Elaine B. Hanna, 95, of Cornwall, Pennsylvania, formerly of Blakeslee, Pa., died on Monday,September 23, 2019 at Cornwall Manor.
She was born on January 19, 1924 to the late Curvin Miller and Mae Miller nee Newhart in Pocono Pines, Pa. She was a member of Blakeslee United Methodist Church prior to moving to Cornwall in 2006. Elaine was also a longtime member of the American Legion Auxillary. She was an owner-operator, along with her late husband, Gerald Hanna, of Windy Corners, a service station/diner in Blakeslee, Pa. in the 1950s and 1960s, and then of Lamp Lighter Gift Shop and Blakeslee Laundry Mat, also in Blakeslee, in the late 1960s and 1970s.
Surviving are her son Jerry Hanna, of Moscow, Pa.; grandson Dan Hanna, and wife Elise Hanna, also of Moscow; grandson Ric Hanna and wife Carole Turcotte-Hanna, of Cresco, Pa.;step-granddaughter Melissa Liberty and
husband, Robert Liberty, of New York City; step-grandson Andres Gomez, of Charleston, SC; sister-in-law, Joan Hanna, of Cornwall Manor; six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her
husband Gerald E. Hanna; brothers Curvin Miller, Jr. and Richard Miller; sisters Pauline Dunlap, Mildred Fischer, Jeanne Miller and Minnie Newhart and daughter-in-law, Helen Hanna.
A private family gathering will be held for Elaine to celebrate her life and share treasured memories.
