Elsie Atkins

Elsie M. "Nan" Atkins, 92, of Lebanon, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at her home.
She was born on Tuesday, August 09, 1921 to the late William C. Kreitzer and Elsie M. Kreitzer nee Weirich in Lebanon. She was a member of Zion "Goshert's" United Church of Christ and Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Group of the Church and helped in the nursery of Trinity UM Church for 38 years. Elsie made the best opera fudge in the county. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Cleona Senior Group.
Surviving are children John A. Atkins, AZ, Robert J. Atkins, Lebanon, Mary E. Johnson, Dauphin, Charles F. Atkins, Myerstown, Sally M. Campbell, Cleona; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; step brother Donald Kreitzer, FL; step sister Audrey Fedder; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband John P. Atkins; brothers William Kreitzer, Ephraim Kreitzer, Harry Kreitzer, Martin Kreitzer; step brother
John Kreitzer.
Viewing will be on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
