Ernest W. "Ernie" Johnson

Ernest W. "Ernie" Johnson, 86, of Lebanon, died on Monday, January 16, 2023 at his home. He was born on Tuesday, December 8, 1936 to the late Harry F. Johnson and Mary Johnson nee Kerkeslager in Lebanon. He worked as a sales engineer for Lebanon Steel Foundry and later retired from Elyria Steel Foundry. He was a member of R Field & Stream, Maennerchor Club and a Mason. Ernie enjoyed golf and was an avid reader. Surviving are wife Betty M. Johnson nee Hibshman; children Kerk C. Johnson and spouse Patty, Patricia L. Lear; grandchildren Danielle Johnson, Riley Stumpf, Raysean Johnson; sister Linda Gibble; daughter-in-law Yvonne Johnson. He was preceded in death by son Michael S. Johnson. Viewing will be on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
