Eva May Krall passed away on January 30, 2013 at the age of 92. She was born Eva May Kreider on May 17, 1920 in Lebanon County PA, the daughter of Oscar Krall Kreider and Eva May Laudermilch. She lived for most of her life in Lebanon, and for the last 17 years in Palmyra at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was one of 9 children. On August 16, 1946 she married Harvey Bomberger Krall who predeceased her in 1972.From 1937 to 1942 Eva was part of the Kreider Quartet with brother David, and sisters Adella and Anna. She worked at the Lebanon Dress Factory and for the Hershey Chocolate Factory, taking the trolley from Lebanon to Hershey. In 1942 Eva joined WAAC (Women''s Auxiliary Army Corps). In August 1943 the WAAC became the Women''s Army Corp and part of the US Army. In 1945 she was honorably discharged and returned to Lebanon where she met Harvey. Together they had 5 children. She worked with Harvey for over 25 years with Krall''s Painting and Contracting, and later, Krall''s Paint Center. After Harvey''s death Eva transitioned the Paint Center to Krall''s Craft Center.Eva''s hobbies and interests revolved around crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. While living at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home she was a recognized volunteer and was known as "Go-Go Granny" because of her travels to see her children throughout the United States. She was also an avid Phillies fan.She was a lifetime member of Salem United Methodist Church in Lebanon.Eva is survived by daughter Diane (James) Ryan in Laporte, PA, and sons Jay (Sandy) in Raleigh NC, Kail (Cyndi) in Rocklin CA, and Kyle in London (UK). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Kate Krall in Boston, Ben Krall in NYC, Chris (Heather) Ryan in WY, Lucas Krall and Logan (Crystal) Krall in CA, Haley in NC, and one great-grandchild, Kelwyn Ryan, in Wyoming. Eva is also survived by sisters Adella Brandt of Annville PA, Sarah Bensing of Ephrata, Erma (Eugene) Putt of Lebanon, and Martha Peiffer of Lebanon.In addition to her husband, Harvey, she was predeceased by her daughter Renee in 1990, brothers David and Paul, and sisters Mary Kreider and Anna Graby.A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home on Wednesday, February 6 at 2:00. She will be interred in the Grand View Cemetery, Lebanon.The family asks that memorial donations be designated to The Good Samaritan Fund of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra.
