Frank W. Hockley, 87, of Lebanon, died on Wednesday, November 06, 2013 at VA Medical Center.
He was born on Tuesday, April 20, 1926 to the late Fred G. Hockley and Bessie Hockley nee Keller in Lebanon. He was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a veteran of the Navy in World War II. Frank graduated from LVC and earned his Masters Degree from Penn State. He was a teacher at Milton Hershey, Harding Junior High School and Lebanon High School. Frank enjoyed golf, traveling, crossword puzzles, Philadelphia sports, Penn State, played football and basketball for LHS and was an avid reader. He was a member of Annville Legion, Elks and TPA.
Surviving are son Frank W. Jr., spouse of Susan Hockley; daughter Karen spouse of William Woodruff; grandchildren Matthew Woodruff, Megan Woodruff; sisters Bessie Evans, Grace Ulrich; brother-in-law Carl spouse of Sharon Jagnow; sister-in-law Nancy spouse of Fred VanWinkle; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by wife Mary Hockley nee Jagnow; 2 brothers; 3 sisters.
Viewing will be on Friday, November 08, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Friday, November 08, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
