Frank W. "Frankie" Keath, Sr., 88, of Palmyra, died on Tuesday, January 05, 2016 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born on Thursday, August 04, 1927 to the late Frank P. Keath and Anna Mae Keath nee Weik in Schaefferstown. He was a member of Avon Zion United Methodist Church. Frank attended Cornwall and E-Town College and was a teacher of math for 41 years and was in the Educational Honor Society. He was a high school coach and officiated basketball, soccer and baseball. Frank was a semi-pro basketball player for Berwick and an avid golfer and bowler. He was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at Elizabethtown College, Central Chapter. He was involved with the local and state Retired Teachers Association. Frank was a trustee for Avon, involved with the youth department in the church, a life member of the PTO.
Surviving are wife Ruth M. Keath nee Risser; children Denise spouse of Tom Kotay, Frank spouse of Mary Sue Keath, Krista spouse of Donald Carr, Scott Keath; grandchildren Adam spouse of Melanie Keath, Anne spouse of Leo Schoenhofen, Kyle spouse of Gabrielle Keath, Sarah spouse of Tom Kaden, Katie spouse of Matthew Klopp, Emily spouse of Daniel Adamson,
Macey Keath; 14 great grandchildren; sister Doris Chernick; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Winifred Fillak.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, January 09, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Avon Zion United Methodist Church, 1205 E. Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
