Frederick Martel

Frederick Martel, 86, of Lebanon passed away on March 25, 2010. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 as a Private First Class. Following devoted service to his country, Fred was employed as a carpenter for 40 years. He was the husband of the late Martha Kempa Martel, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage. Fred and Martha enjoyed extensive traveling, driving to 49 states and visiting all 50, as well as watching auto racing and baseball. Fred was one of sixteen children of the late George Martel and Elizabeth Knoll Martel. He is survived by several brothers and sisters, and his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kelley Martel.
