Gary W. Smith

Gary W. "Smitty" Smith, 73, of Lebanon, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at his home. He was born on Wednesday, December 21, 1949 to the late Raymond Smith and Norine Smith (Brown) in Utica, NY. He was a veteran as a Petty officer in the U.S. Navy serving from  March 1971 - March 1973. He was a Kutztown State College Graduate with a Bachelor of Science, Biology in May 1977. Gary was a graduate of the 17th Class of the Ross Leffler School of Conservation in June 1978 and served 30 Years at the Pennsylvania Game Commission - Retired Game Warden. He was a PADI Divemaster, Open Water Scuba Instructor, Specialty Instructor (varying Specialties), Certified Underwater Criminal Investigation and Iron Valley Golf Club employee. Gary was a beloved  father, brother, uncle, and friend.  Surviving are children Todd R. Smith and Jessica R. Smith; brother David B. Smith and spouse Michelle D’Mello Smith; sister Debra J. LaLonde and spouse Michael LaLonde; niece Ella R. Smith. Visitation and a time of gathering will be on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
