George H. Brubaker, 93, of Palmyra, died on Monday, August 19, 2019 at his home.
He was born on Wednesday, August 11, 1926 to the late Enos Brubaker and Helen Brubaker nee Hoffer in Annville. He was a member of Lebanon Church of the Brethren and worked as a Plant Engineer at Bell Telephone. George was a veteran of the Army in World War II and was a member and past president of the Friendship Fire Company, served on an Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, member of the Plymouth Club for 50 years, served on the Cornwall/Lebanon School Board for 10 years, Lebanon County Workshop Board, the IU 13 Board, involved with the planning and zoning of South Lebanon Township, past president of the Optimist Club, served on the Cornwall/Lebanon School Authority, and won the Salvation Army William Booth Award. He enjoyed gardening and mowing the grass.
Surviving are wife of 69 years, Grace W. Brubaker nee Werner; sister Mary Strangarity. He was preceded in death by brothers Enos Brubaker, Jr and Samuel Brubaker.
Viewing will be on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Lebanon Church of the Brethren, 400 Locust Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the church.
Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
