Gilbert E. Maurer, Sr. passed over on 11/22/2011.
He is predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Emma Powley Maurer and his wife of 15 years, Ethel Calhoun Maurer. He is survived by his children Jack R. of Trinidad Co., Gilbert, Jr., of the Villages, FL, Joseph F. of Camp Hill and Deborah L. of Harrisburg; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; stepdaughter Jackie Gilbert of Harrisburg, PA.
He proudly served in the 3rd Army during WWII in Europe. After many years of operating his own business, retired from Cole & Co. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and enjoyed music, painting and helping others.
Graveside services will be on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:30 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
