Harold L. "Smitty" Smith, 87, of Lebanon, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Cedar Haven.
He was born on Wednesday, August 22, 1928 to the late George Smith and Margaret Smith nee Light in Lebanon. He was a veteran of the Army in the  Korean Conflict. Harold retired from the VA Medical Center (28 years) and Good Samaritan Hospital (30 years). He worked at the Lebanon Area Fair Grounds, Mt. Zion Fire Co., Foxes Hardware and Audrey's Crafts. Smitty was a member of the Mt. Zion Fire Co. and Mt. Aetna Fire Co. He enjoyed his animals, flea markets, socializing and spending time with his family. He also made chests and cradles.
Surviving are daughter Rosemary spouse of Ronald Weidman, Sr., Myerstown; sons Larry G. spouse of Renee Smith, Myerstown, Allen R. spouse of Nadine Smith, Lebanon; grandchildren Ronald Weidman, Jr., Kayla Smith, Shane Smith; great grandchild Madison Weidman; brothers George Smith, Lebanon, Wayne Smith, Schaefferstown, David Smith, Lebanon; sisters Annetta Brucker, MO, Joyce Pauley, Reading; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Edith M. Smith nee Kramer; brothers Henry Smith, Donald Smith; sister Hilda Rittle.
Viewing will be on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 01, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with viewing starting at 10:00AM.
Burial will be at Zoar Lutheran Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
