Harry W. Hower, Jr., 95, of Lebanon, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at VA Medical Center.
He was born on Saturday, November 12, 1921 to the late Harry W. Hower, Sr. and Mamie H. Hower nee Shanaman in Lebanon. He served in the US Army from June of 1942 until February of 1946. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 30 years. He was baptized on May 4, 1924 by Rev. Charles Keim at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and stayed a lifelong member, actively participating in church functions and committees.
Surviving are wife Marguerite "Peg" Hower nee Fuoti; daughter Sally A. spouse of Sheldon Hostetter; son Scott spouse of Bonnie Hower; grandchildren Anthony Devitz, Nicholas Devitz, Duane Hower, Amanda Hower; 2 great grandsons, 4 great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by sister Marion Rhen; brother Richard Hower.
Viewing will be on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 07, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman Street, Lebanon, with viewing starting at 10:00AM.
Burial will be at Kimmerling's Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
