Harry B. Sechrist, Jr., 89, of Annville, died on Monday, January 02, 2017 at Countryside Christian Community.
He was born on Tuesday, November 22, 1927 to the late Harry B. Sechrist, Sr. and Katie Sechrist nee Brill in Quentin. He was a member of Rexmont Evangelical Congregational Church. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps in World War II. Harry celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary on December 12th and worked at Weavers Bologna, Denver Meats and owned Sechrist Quality Coal. Harry was involved with the church as a class leader, Sunday School teacher, trustee and usher. He also assisted his wife with the youth group. Harry was dedicated with prayer, compassion and fasting. He enjoyed restoring a car with his son, yardwork and loved his dogs.
Surviving are wife Geraldine K. Sechrist nee Ebright; daughters Susan K. spouse of Diehl Snyder, Shirley A. spouse of Richard Pankake; sons Harry B. Sechrist, III, Harold E. spouse of Joan Sechrist; grandchildren Nick Sechrist, Jordan Sechrist, Luke Snyder, John Snyder, Linda Houser, Thomas Pankake, Melissa Isaacs; 9 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be on Friday, January 06, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel at Countryside Christian Community, 520 Rt. 934 North, Annville.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 06, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the chapel.
Burial will be at Quentin (Bismarck) Cemetery, Quentin, following the service.
