Helen Conrad

Helen M. Conrad, 93, of Annville, formerly of Weavertown Road, Lebanon, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.

She was born on Wednesday, April 17, 1918 to the late Henry S. Bicksler and Edna C. Bicksler nee Wolf in S. Jackson Twp. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Helen was a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Sunday School teacher and cook at the church and NL Senior Citizens Group. She was also a member of the Weavertown Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary, lay person for Salem''s visitation program and involved with Ebenezer Elementary PTA in the 1950s.

Surviving are daughters Jane R. spouse of Gregory Straub, Cleona, Louise R. spouse of Robert D. Shirk, Winston Salem, NC; grandchildren Conrad D. spouse of Crystal Shirk, Nathan T. Shirk; great grandchildren Ian Shirk, Daniel Shirk; sisters Elsie spouse of Ernest Hower, Betty Ann Phillips. She was preceded in death by husband Charles T. Conrad; brothers Harry Bicksler, John Bicksler; sisters Mildred Bixler, Lillian Bicksler.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 119 N. 8th Street, Lebanon.

Funeral services will be on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the church.

Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church- Salem Preservation Fund, 119 N. 8th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046.
