J. Hauer

J. Frank Hauer, 93, of Lebanon, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Linden Village.
He was born on Friday, May 02, 1924 to the late Frank J. Hauer and Kathryn Hauer nee Bashore in E. Hanover Twp. He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was retired as a heavy mobile mechanic leader (WL11) of 32 years.  He was part of the combined Support Maintenance shop, Ft. IGMR, PA and WWII veteran, serving with the 2nd Marine Division in S. Pacific for 30 months.  Frank was a member of PA Nat'l Guard for 32 years, life member of VFW Post #23, life member of 2nd Marine Div. Assoc., Jonestown American Legion for 62 years, 50 year member of Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226 F&AM and silver haired daddies bowling league since 1984, honored game of 299.  He enjoyed time spent with Peggy, family and friends,  He enjoyed bowling, watching Nascar, football, baseball, CSI and Polka dancing TV programs.  Frank and Peggy enjoyed time together, working and relaxing at their vacation homes in Delaware, Raystown Lake and camping at Knobel's Grove along with their pets.
Surviving are daughter Deborah spouse of Fred Kent; grandchildren Tracy Brajkovich, Robert Hauer, Brett Hauer, Andrea Engle, F. Christopher Kent, Jennifer Kent Henneman; great grandchildren David Engle, Jr., Felicia Hauer, Brooke Hauer, Dylan Brajkovich, Megan Brajkovich, Morgan Brajkovich, Trey Hauer, Tatum Doney, Jackson Gunnar Henneman, Lincoln Wyatt Henneman; great great grandchildren Layla Kreiser and Lohgan Herb; sister Elizabeth Kleinfelter; nieces Jane spouse of Harold Wissinger, Lynda Myers-Kleinfelter; nephews Larry spouse of Doris Stichler, Robert Hauer, Lynn spouse of Touie Kleinfelter; niece-in-law Virginia Hauer. He was preceded in death by wife Margaret H. Hauer nee Bolschi; son Dennis L. Hauer; daughter Linda Lee Hauer; niece Leann Kleinfelter; nephew Richard Hauer; sister-in-law Ruth Hauer.
Viewing will be on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Ebenezer "Covenant" Cemetery, Lebanon, with full military honors, following the service.
