James T. Wagner of Lebanon, died on October 7, 2010 at Masonic Villages in Elizabethtown, PA.
He was born October 6, 1924 in Lebanon and was married for 55 years to the late Ruth Wagner and the son of the late Jennie and Herbert Wagner. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and the Quaker City School of Aeronautics. He was a WWII veteran having served with the Army Air Services from 1943-47 in Europe stationed in Belgium, England and France. He spent his career as a mechanic and equipment inspector at the Olmstead Air Force Base and at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation in PA. He retired in 1981.
He was an avid woodworker, carpenter, automobile mechanic and expert metal worker. He was also a member of the Masons since 1951. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Masonic Lodge #226, the Harrisburg Consistory, York Rite Bodies of Lebanon and Zembo Temple of Harrisburg. As a member of the Lebanon Council No. 27 Royal and Select masters, he served as chaplain in chapter and also as a trustee for many years. He was also a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Lebanon.
Surviving are nieces Sandra F. Gavin and her husband James of Haddonfield, NJ and Sue Ann Reibman and her husband Glenn of Easton, PA.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 11:00AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. A masonic service will be at 10:00 with viewing to follow.
Burial will be private at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
