Jean Matticks

Jean W. Matticks, 84, of Lebanon, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her home.
She was born on Thursday, February 09, 1928 to the late E. L. Williams and Elizabeth C. Williams nee Bowser in Kittaning, PA. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She worked as a dietician and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Soroity at Penn State University, American Dietery Association and finished a summer internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1949. She met her husband on a blind date during her senior year of college. They eloped after final exams and prior to graduation in Frederick, MD.
Surviving are daughters Janice spouse of Timothy Mulac, Lebanon, Margaret Miller, Hershey; son Thomas spouse of Elaine Matticks, Shippenville; grandchildren Erin Solesky, Shannon spouse of Daniel Catts, Katelyn Miller, Meghan Miller, Kathryn Matticks, Joel Matticks, John Matticks; great grandchild Logan W. Catts; sister Virginia spouse of George Lumsden, Scotland; sister-in-law Jane Oliver, Imperial, PA; several nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Ralph Matticks; sister Dorothy Wagner.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
