Jeannette Zimnoch

Jeannette Emily Zimnoch, 91, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018.
Born in Long Island City, New York, she was the daughter of Helen Durocher-Viafora and William Viafora.  She was the wife of her beloved late husband, Thomas L. Zimnoch. Together they have five surviving children.  Barry L. Zimnoch, husband of Joan Zimnoch, Malvern, PA; Joyce (Zimnoch) Dourte, wife of Dale Dourte, Lebanon, PA; Pamela (Zimnoch) wife of Frank Howard Dogger, Lancaster, PA; Steven M. Zimnoch, husband of Deborah Zimnoch, Mentor, Ohio, and William J. Zimnoch, husband of Gail Zimnoch, Denver, PA, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death byher parents, Helen and Joseph Viafora, and her brother, Douglas K. Viafora.
After graduating from New York University, New York, New York, and moving to Lebanon, Pennsylvania with her family,  Jeannette became an elementary school teacher, receiving her Master's Equivalency in 1976, and retiring after many years of service in the ELCO School District. Jeannette was very involved in the Episcopalian faith at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.  She knew the service verbatim.Throughout her years in Lebanon she wore many hats. She volunteered with Free Noon Meal, The Volunteer Income Tax Preparation Program, the Bazaar, ECW, the Adult Forum Study Group,  Saturday evening worship services, Sunday lunches, and committee member of the ABWA, along with being a life-long supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She had the honor of being awarded "Woman of the Year" through The Lebanon County Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, something for which she was very proud.
On Thursday, April 5, 2018,  family will receive guests prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 22 South 6th Street,Lebanon, PA 17042.
A Eucharist Funeral Mass with communion will be held at 11:00 a.m.
The Zimnoch family will also receive guests at a reception following interment (Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, PA)  in Annville, Pennsylvania.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jeannette's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,Memphis, TN 38105.
