Jimmy Hoffmaster

Jimmy Derell Hoffmaster, 81, of Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2022. Jimmy was born in Mifflinburg, Pa to Marlin and Florence (Reber) Hoffmaster in November, 1940. He graduated from Mifflinburg HS, Williamport Tech followed by serving in the US Army Reserves from 1959-1960. Jimmy was a machinist and retired from Astro Machine Works. He is survived by his wife, Daryl (Wolf) Children: Jeffery of Lebanon, Tammy and husband Howard Kinnard of Columbia, Robin and husband Jason Landis of Manheim, John and wife Kathy of Virginia, Jason and wife Shana of Pequea; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Siblings are Marlin (Carole), John (Barbara), Gene (Neta).  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie; grandchild Matt. For almost 50 years he taught the Hunters Safety course.  Jimmy was a very active member of Avon Zion UM church before transferring to Kochenderfer UM after the closing of Avon church.  He belonged to the South Lebanon Lions club, he volunteered Lebanon County Christian Ministries and led the Avon church when they cooked a monthly meal at LCCM.  He loved the outdoors and over the years he was very active in many sportsmen clubs in Lebanon and Lancaster.  His passion was helping young and old to use guns safely.  Besides his wife and children he loved his hobbies (volunteering and gun shows).  A former minister of Avon church said "Jimmy was a true disciple of Christ as he helped many in many different ways." We will always carry your memory in our hearts. Funeral service will be at Kochenderfer United Methodist church, Wednesday January 12 at 11:00 a.m., viewing prior to service from 9:00-11:00.  Burial at Grandview cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.  Memorials can be made in his memory to Kochenberger UMC or LCCM or a charity of your choice. www.christmansfuneralhome.com
