Joan Forry

Joan A. Forry, 89, of New Holland, died on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Welsh Mountain Home. She was born on Tuesday, July 18, 1933 to the late John H. Mohl and Agnes E. Mohl nee Krebs in Port Carbon, PA. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked as an Assembler for RCA for 40 years. She enjoyed making paper German Stars and playing pinochle. Joan loved her family, was always giving and had a big heart. Joan embraced her Welsh Mountain Home family. She enjoyed sharing memories and snacks with the staff, picking dandelions, taking many walks with her friend Judy while observing the koi fish, frogs and other wildlife. She was extremely loved by all. Surviving are step children Deborah Dunn; daughter Cathy Ann Durkaj; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brothers John Mohl, Clyde "Butch" Mohl; sisters Marlene Schlimme, Dawn "Cookie" Onushko; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Clyde Forry; step son Lee Forry; siblings Arnold Mohl, Helena McEwen. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
