John "Red" Binner, 88, of Cornwall, died on Friday, May 08, 2015 at VA Medical Center.
He was born on Wednesday, November 03, 1926 to the late John Binner and Alice Binner nee Grumbine in Myerstown. He was a member of Myerstown Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Navy in World War II. John was a barber for 25 years, later worked for Redevelopment, then retired from the State of Pennsylvania. He was a Judge of Election for 11 years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, coin collecting and spending time at his cabin at Lake Strause.
Surviving are daughter Lori A. spouse of Jeff Heilman, Elizabethtown; son John W. spouse of Susanne J. Binner, Lebanon; grandchildren Jeremy spouse of Jennifer Heilman, Amy R. Moffat, Brian Huffman, Lisa spouse of Kevin Ebersole; great grandchildren Lucas Huffman, Sydney Huffman, Daniel Moffat, Elijah Heilman. He was preceded in death by wife Ethel Mae Binner nee Boyer; sister Helen Grumbine; stepfather William Maurer.
Viewing will be on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
