John Matarazzi, Sr

John J. Matarazzi, Sr., 87, of 590 S. 5th Avenue, Lebanon, died on Thursday, July 08, 2010 at Cedar Haven.
He was born on Friday, October 06, 1922 to the late Sabatino Matarazzi and Caroline Matarazzi nee Izzone in Lebanon. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel. He worked as a boiler engineer. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard in World War II. He was a charter member of IGMR Fish and Game. He also enjoyed fly fishing, tying flies and auctions.
Surviving are daughters Marie Matarazzi, Jonestown, Margie Matarazzi, Lebanon; son Clyde Matarazzi, Lebanon; grandchild Jolleen Bechtel; great grandchildren Mark, Shauna, Anthony J., Anthony M.; brother James Matarazzi, Lebanon; sister Eleanor Ladorcik, Lebanon; niece Grace Palkovic, Lebanon. He was preceded in death by wife Beverly J. Matarazzi; son John Matarazzi, Jr.; grandchild Scott Matarazzi; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Rt. 22 & N. Mill Street, Jonestown.
Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the church.
Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
