John E. Schamber, 80, of Lebanon, died on Friday, November 04, 2011 at his home.
He was born on Tuesday, October 06, 1931 to the late John E. Schamber and Verna Schamber in Fredericksburg. He worked as a truck driver. John married his wife in 1950 and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, an avid golfer and was a member of Rescue Fire Co.
Surviving are wife Janet E. Schamber nee Grimm, Lebanon; daughter Joan E. spouse of John R. Brewer, Lebanon; brother David Schamber, NJ; several nephews; several cousins. He was preceded in death by brothers Jay Feather, Clifford Schamber.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, November 08, 2011 from 6-8PM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 09, 2011 at 11:00 AM with a viewing beginning at 10:00AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
