John Wolfe

John H. Wolfe, 88, of 945 Duke Street, Lebanon, died on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Spang Crest Manor.

He was born on Saturday, April 29, 1922 to the late John L. Wolfe and Elsie Wolfe nee Phillippy in Lebanon. He was a member of St. Benedict (the Abbot) Catholic Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of the Army in World War II where he served in the 13th Armored Division and earned a Purple Heart. He was also a member of the VFW. He retired from Lebanon Steel Foundry after 44 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and singing in the Lebanon Senior Chorus. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving are wife Stephena Wolfe nee Maika of Lebanon; daughter Lorraine A. Carson, Enola; sons James spouse of Sue Ann Wolfe, Lebanon, Thomas spouse of Janet Wolfe, Fredericksburg, Paul spouse of Patricia Wolfe, Palmyra, John spouse of Barbara Wolfe, Abingdon, MD; grandchildren Jennifer Pupa, Jessica O''brien, Matthew Wolfe, Allison Albert, Stephen Carson, Mary, Megan, Ashley, Veronica, Allen; 5 great grandchildren; and a number of brothers and sister; nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict (the Abbot) Catholic Church, 1301 Lehman Street, Lebanon, with a visitation beginning at 9:00AM.

Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
