Katharine M. Kerns

Katharine M. Kerns, also known as Daisy Mae, has sadly passed away on August 4, 2023, at her home. She was born on November 28, 1945, in Lebanon, PA to Harold Snavely and Annabelle Snavely nee Shaak.

Katharine lived a vibrant life defined by her passions and cherished relationships. Although her roots were firmly planted in Lebanon, PA, she embraced the opportunities and experiences that life had to offer. Her love for her family was evident throughout her life.

Katharine leaves behind a loving son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Wade and Trish. Their shared joys and sorrows created an unbreakable bond that will be forever cherished. Glenn and Trish were a constant source of love and support to Katharine.

Her role as a grandmother was a source of immense joy for Katharine. She adored her three grandchildren - Derek Wade, Kayden Wade, and Skylar Wade - who brought light and laughter into her life. Daisy Mae found great happiness in watching them grow, sharing in their triumphs, and offering guidance when needed.

In addition to the immediate family mentioned above, Katharine is survived by her brother Harold Snavely Jr. 

Beyond her roles as a mother and grandmother, Katharine had passions that she pursued with enthusiasm. She had a deep affection for animals and enjoyed spending time with her beloved pets. Furthermore, she had an incredible talent for dancing which she expressed as a go-go dancer during her prime years.

Katharine will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and zest for life. Her infectious smile would light up any room she entered while her unconditional love touched the hearts of all who knew her.

During this difficult time of loss, may we find solace in the wonderful memories we have of Katharine. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she cherished and loved. Her legacy will be carried forward by her family and friends, who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her presence.

In honor of Katharine's remarkable life, a memorial service will be held on a date to be announced at a later time. 

May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory serve as a guiding light for all who mourn her loss.
