Kenneth R. Wenger, widely known as Kenny, passed away on May 30th, 2023 at the VA Medical Center. Born in Lebanon, PA on October 12th, 1931 to Joseph A. Wenger and Sarah Wenger nee Funk, he grew up surrounded by the love of his family.

Kenny was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army with great honor and distinction. He was awarded several medals for his excellent service to his country - the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.

Kenny was also an entrepreneur who excelled in plumbing and electrical work. He loved his job and took great pride in it. However, he had many interests outside of work that kept him busy as well. Kenny enjoyed traveling and visiting people. Going out to eat was a favorite pastime of his too.

Kenny cherished his family above all else; his wife Kathryn L. Wenger nee Long held a special place in his heart throughout their life together. He is survived by his children Karen Mason and spouse Richard, Sharon Leffler and spouse Kenneth, Russell Wenger, Pamela Franklin and spouse Robert, along with 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Kenny will be dearly missed by all who knew him well; however it is comforting to know that he lived a happy life surrounded by friends and family who loved him unconditionally.

Viewing services for Kenny will be held on June 5th, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren in Bethel with funeral services immediately following at 11:00am.
