Lester C. Achey, 95, of Palmyra, died on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Londonderry Village.
He was born on Friday, July 15, 1921 to the late Calvin Achey and Katy Ida Achey nee Yoder in Avon. He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and retired as a tool maker for Bethlehem Steel for 43 years. He was a veteran of the Army in World War II. Lester enjoyed coin and stamp collecting and bowling. The family would like to thank the staff of Londonderry Village Royer House for their excellent and kind service.
Surviving are sons Jeffrey B. spouse of Candace Norton Achey, Sinking Spring, LesErik spouse of Pamela Oldroyd Achey, Millerton; grandchildren Erica spouse of Horacio Moises, Brent spouse of Suzy Achey, Kevin spouse of Becki Achey, Bryan Achey; great grandchildren Trent Achey, Ashlyn Achey, Kendra Moises, Kadin Moises, Devon Moises, Jaxon Achey,
Joselyn Achey, Colleen Achey, Roslyn Achey; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Mildred Achey nee Smith.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, with full military honors, following the service.
