Luke I. Patches, 75, of Myerstown, died on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born on Wednesday, April 24, 1935 to the late Isaac Patches and Katie Patches nee Shonk in Lebanon. He was a member of Heidelberg Church of the Brethren. He worked as a dairy farmer. He was also a truck driver and enjoyed playing parcheesi.
Surviving are sons Clyde spouse of Jeanne Patches, Myerstown, Edwin spouse of Carmen Patches, Myerstown; daughters Ruth Ann spouse of Duane Yoder, IN, Mary spouse of Greg Gilbert, Rothsville; 22 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters Edith Bollinger, Lebanon, Miriam Wege, Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by wife Arlene Patches nee Brubaker.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 6:30-8:00PM at Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, 162 E. Reistville Road, Schaefferstown.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the church with viewing beginning at 9:00AM.
Burial will be at Midway Brethren Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
