Marian Moore

Marian Gernert Moore passed away at the age of 89 at Stone Ridge Skilled Care Poplar Run Nursing Facility in Myerstown, PA on May 24, 2013.

She was born in Carlisle, PA on February 21, 1924, the daughter of the late John A. and Marie B. Gebhard Gernert. On September 15, 1946, she married the late Robert K. Moore and they celebrated 64 years of marriage until his death on June 10, 2010.Marian was a 1941 graduate of Lebanon High School and secretary of her class. She was a member of the PA Association of School Retirees, retiring as a secretary from Lebanon High School.Her hobbies include sewing and knitting. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church until her later years.

Survivors include her daughters Kathleen M. Heim, wife of Avery J. Heim, Lebanon, Lynette M. Beidler, wife of Glenn G. Beidler, Jr of Cleona; grandson Robert G. Beidler; sister Jeanne G. Clark of Jupiter, FL; 4 nieces. She was preceded in death by sister Josephine; brother John.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Stone Ridge Poplar Run for the care and compassion given to our mother, especially during her final days. Also, thanks to Compassionate Care Hospice for the support given to us.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 119 N. 8th Street, Lebanon.

Memorial services will be on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the church.

Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
