She was born on Friday, February 06, 1920 to the late Francis Wagner and Edith Wagner nee Stemler in Leighton, PA. Marian was a 1937 graduate of Leighton High School and Haaf Hospital Nursing School. She was a lifetime member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church where she was treasurer of the Ladies Guild for many years, past president of the Lebanon County Flowers Club and member of the Lebanon Shade Tree Commission for 25 years. Many years ago she worked for "Old Dr. Groh" at the Lebanon Sanitorium and was in charge of the nursery at the hospital. The most important thing to Marian was her family and tending to her flowers. She missed not being able to work in her garden.
Surviving are daughter Judi Crain; grandson Michael Crain, Jr. and his wife Jennifer; great grandchild Bethany Crain; brother Neven Wagner, Emmaus; sister Phyllis Lynn, Bethlehem. She was preceded in death by husband Mark Wentz Sr.; granddaughter Karen Crain; son-in-law Michael Crain; brother Kermit Wagner, Claire Wagner; sisters Lillian Ritter, infant Stella Wagner.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton, following the service.
