Marjorie L. "LaVerne" Ritter, 84, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Sunday, April
07, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born on Monday, April 09, 1928 to the late John W. Brackin and Etna Brackin nee Mcillwain in Longview,
MS and raised in Columbus MS. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and worked as a
bookkeeper for JC Penney. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family. LaVerne was married in 1951
and celebrated her 62nd wedding anniversary on February 23rd. She was a graduate of Business School in
Columbus, MS and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and traveling.
Surviving are husband George T. Ritter; daughters Lynn Ritter-Runsten spouse of Dennis Runsten, Anne spouse of
Jeffrey Tice; son Thomas Ritter; grandchildren Melissa Runsten and Kara Runsten; niece Dell Wear; several other
nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 9:30 AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland
Street, Lebanon.
Inurnment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
