Marlin C. "Wolfy" Wolf, 85, of Lebanon, died on Friday, January 25, 2013 at VA Medical Center.
He was born on Sunday, December 25, 1927 to the late Rufus H. Wolf and Estella Wolf nee Groff in Lebanon. He
was a member of St. Paul''s United Church of Christ-Hamlin. He was a 1945 graduate of Lebanon High School and
served in WWII and the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 3 Barttle Stars serving with
the 92nd Armored Field Artillery. A veteran of fighting at the Chosen Reservoir in North Korea in December 1950, he
was a member of the Army Chapter of the "Chosen Few." He was employed at the VA Medical Center for 36 years
and an Insurance broker for 30 years. After retirement he worked for the State Historical & Museum Commission as
a tour guide at Daniel Boone Homestead. He worked as a Senior Center Manager for Area Agency on Aging from
1984 to 1994 and then as a tour escort for MotorCoach Companies. He was involved with Disabled American
Veterans, VFW Post #23, Korea War Veterans Assoc., the Chosen Few, 92nd Armed Field Artillery Assoc., Sons of
the Union Veterans of the Civil War, VFW Post #23 Honor Guard and the Civil War Trust. He participated in the
Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging Senior Advisory Council, PA Council of Aging Harrisburg,
Secretary/Treasurer of the Lebanon County Koreran War Vets Memorial Comm., Board of Directors of the former VA
Federal Credit Union and Lebanon County Veterans Advisory Council. He enjoyed gardening, travel, was a Civil
War Historian, Reenactor for the 93rd Regiment PVI and participated in the making of the movie "Gettysburg."
Surviving are wife Dorothy E. Wolf nee Snyder; children Dr. Marlin C. Jr., spouse of Gail Wolf, GA, Ann E. spouse of
Dick Shiner, Harrisburg, Peter J. spouse of Jimmie Sue Wolf, Sante Fe, Jennifer L. Brossman, Lebanon; 7
grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc.,
226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
