Mary Hannigan

Mary Anne (“Mare”) Hannigan 68, of Lebanon, passed away suddenly on July 11th, 2022, at her residence. Born December 6th, 1953 to John J. & Mary K. Hannigan in Manhattan, NY, She formerly resided in Manhasset, Mineola, Cairo, NY; Honeybrook & Lititz, PA. She was a 1972 Graduate of St. Mary’s High School, 1973 Graduate of the Berkley-Claremont School, and a 2002 Graduate of The Pennsylvania School of Art & Design. Mary was a former Crossing Guard for Nassau County NY, and had a Tenured Career in Retail (including 19 years with Home Depot) and also frequently worked on many Wildlife Rehabilitation Projects. While Raised as A Catholic, She often followed her own Path & was a very spiritual person, taking notes from numerous Celtic, Pagan & Wiccan practices. She was enormously proud of her Irish Heritage, and spent much time Researching the family genealogy and family tree.Her greatest loves in life were her Art, Music & Wildlife – She loved Going to concerts, taking in not only the art but techniques as well. Her favorite artists included Def Leppard, Eric Clapton, The Beatles & The Chieftans. You’d be hard pressed to find her without some kind of pet at home – Mother to many cats, birds, dogs, reptiles & fish over the years. She was also an avid Star Trek fan, and loved anything involving Russel Crowe or Johnny Depp. She is survived by her Son, Sean Patrick H. Wernersbach of Mineola,NY and Granddaughter Claudia June Wernersbach of Lititz, PA. Services are to be announced.
