Mary Hunter

Mary T. Hunter, 100, of Cornwall, died on Friday, February 05, 2016 at Cornwall Manor.
She was born on Thursday, May 27, 1915 to the late Ira Thompson and Laura Thompson nee Miller in Herndon, VA. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and worked as an elementary teacher for Garfield Elementary. She was the first Resident Trustee at Cornwall Manor. Mary also enjoyed volunteering at the Curiosity Shop and Ice Cream Shop. She was an excellent decorator, Bridge player and cook.
Surviving are daughter Alice A. Downey spouse of William A. Downey, Cornwall; son Dr. Thomas M. Hunter, Jr., spouse of Aryati Hunter, Vancouver; grandchildren Sean spouse of Michelle Downey, Kadek Jayanti Hunter, Putu Indra; great grandchildren Brian Downey, Brandon Downey, Erin Downey; nephews Dave Thompson, Bill Thompson, Philip Hunter, Jr; niece Laurie Thompson. She was preceded in death by husband Dr. Thomas M. Hunter.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Levi Zerr Chapel of Cornwall Manor.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Levi Zerr Chapel of Cornwall Manor.
